  • Enter the ITF-14 digits.
  • This barcode is valid and will scan. It is only a registered product code if GS1 licensed the number to you (or your brand owner assigned it). Retailers and marketplaces such as Amazon check numbers against GS1's database; made-up numbers are rejected there.

SVG and PDF are vectors at the exact millimetre size shown. The PNG uses a whole number of printer dots per bar so nothing blurs. Generated in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Questions about ITF-14 barcodes

What are the thick bars around it?

Bearer bars. GS1 makes them mandatory on ITF-14: they stop scanners reading a partial symbol and even out print pressure on cardboard.

What number goes in it?

A GTIN-14: a packaging indicator digit (1 to 8) plus the 12 digits of the product's EAN, then a new check digit. The generator calculates the check digit.

How big?

For cartons, bars 1.016 mm wide and 32 mm tall is the target. The generator defaults to that.
