Codabar for libraries, blood banks and older courier slips; Interleaved 2 of 5 and MSI Plessey for numeric warehouse and shelf codes; Code 93 as a denser Code 39; Pharmacode for packaging-line control on pharmaceutical cartons. None of them is a good default for a new system: choose Code 128 unless the scanner on the other end says otherwise.
