Other 1D barcode generator

Code 93, Codabar, Interleaved 2 of 5, MSI Plessey, Pharmacode. Older and special-purpose linear symbologies that a particular system may still require. Codabar for libraries, blood banks and older courier slips; Interleaved 2 of 5 and MSI Plessey for numeric warehouse and shelf codes; Code 93 as a denser Code 39; Pharmacode for packaging-line control on pharmaceutical cartons. None of them is a good default for a new system: choose Code 128 unless the scanner on the other end says otherwise.

Code 93

A denser successor to Code 39, used in some logistics and postal systems.

Code 93 or 128?

Code 128 unless a system requires Code 93.

Codabar

An older numeric barcode still used by libraries, blood banks and some couriers. Digits with A–D start and stop characters.

What are the letters?

Start and stop characters. Most systems use A and B.

Interleaved 2 of 5

A dense numeric-only barcode used in warehouses and distribution. An even number of digits; a zero is added in front if needed.

Is this ITF-14?

ITF-14 is this symbology with 14 digits and bearer bars, for cartons. Use the ITF-14 type for that.

MSI Plessey

A numeric barcode used on warehouse shelves and bins.

Which check digit?

Mod 10, the most common. Other variants exist; ask the system owner if scans fail.

Pharmacode

The packaging-line control code on pharmaceutical boxes. A single number from 3 to 131070.

What is Pharmacode?

A packaging-line code that lets the machine verify it is folding the right carton. It is not for consumers or retail.
